Registering the day/night before class is greatly appreciated.
Registering helps the instructor to better prepare classes based on those attending. Also, classes held back in the studio, so the front door is locked. In cases where someone may run late, it prevents locking anyone out. Finally, if the need arises, such as illness or an emergency in which a sub for the class is unavailable, the instructor has your information on-hand to contact. $10/class; $100/12-class pass.
We care about the quality of instruction that you receive. All AHA instructors have completed, or are in the process of completing, their yoga teacher training at Alabama Healing Arts and are Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs) with Yoga Alliance. Each is educated in Iyengar-style Hatha yoga, which utilizes props, when needed, in order to help you achieve proper body alignment and maintain safety within a pose.
*AHA Inner Calm Yoga –TUES, WEEKLY. Life can be hectic and stress takes its toll on the body. This class focuses on postures, restoratives & breath exercises to calm the nervous system, relieve stress & anxiety, & help you take on the week ahead with grace & ease. Beginner-friendly. *AHA PM Yoga –TUES, WEEKLY. Give your spirit the gift of a calming and centering tune-up by improving posture, muscle-tone, strength and flexibility, establishing core strength, refreshing the mind and restoring healthy balance. *AHA AM Yoga –WED, WEEKLY. Enjoy a mid-week pick-me-up using movements that form a flowing sequence in coordination with the breath. This is a more active class designed to stretch, strengthen, & tone the body, free the mind, & get the blood pumping! Beginner-friendly. Props provided free of charge. *AHA Brain Boost Yoga –THURS, WEEKLY. Movement isn’t just for muscles. Practicing 30-45 minutes of mindful movement & yoga with 5-15-minute meditation practices enliven your mental capacities, boost concentration and focus, and help finish the week strong. *AHA Weekend Yoga Workshops. Enjoy an inspirational exploration of body-mind-spirit while promoting balance and wellness within. Traditional foundations promote proper body alignment and safety. Click Workshops & Seminars.
AHA SUPERVISED STUDENT CLINICS
School-supervised internships provide the opportunity for student practitioners to work with clients in a professional setting and for participants to receive quality, full-length sessions at a great value. *Friday MASSAGE Clinic – Available 1-2 Fridays per month OCT 2018 - JUN 2019. Appointments 10:15am, 11:30am, 12:45pm and/or 4:30pm, 5:45pm, 7pm, pending day/night student availability.$25 for full-body massage session.
*Saturday REIKI Clinic – TBD. Scheduled as-needed for student certification. Appointments 1:30pm, 2:45pm. $25 for full-body Reiki session.
*Sunday YOGA Clinic – TBD. Scheduled as-needed for student certification. 1-2 Sundays per month when in session. Beginner-friendly. Props provided. $5 per class, or 2-for-1 classes on pass.Contact KELLY at 251-753-1937 for appointment availability or to be added to the clinic contact list.

Here are a few that we are considering:
*AHA Lunch-Time Yoga Basics (8-wk course) TBD. Avoid the afternoon slump while learning the basics of yoga. Eclectic yoga postures with traditional foundations ensure proper body alignment, safety, & fun.
*AHA Qigong / Tai Chi – TBD. Learn the ancient Chinese healing art combining slow, repetitive movements with breathing techniques and meditation to promote balance and well-being. Includes basic eight silk brocade movements and balance-walking meditation.
*AHA Group Guided Meditation – TBD. Open the heart, expand awareness, calm and quiet the mind, and savor the present moment with this lovely guided group meditation. Supports all spiritual paths and belief systems.
